Yobe Police Arrest Eight for Theft and Violent Attacks

The Yobe State Police Command arrested eight suspects in connection with theft and violent assaults during separate operations across the state. Dungu Abdulkarim, the police public relations officer, disclosed that the operations were part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activities.

One operation in Bursari led to the arrest of 25-year-old Musa Musa, who allegedly stole building materials intended for the renovation of Daskum Primary School. Musa was intercepted along Gashua Road while transporting stolen items, including iron rods and a motorcycle used in the crime.

Additionally, two suspects, Adam Maigaimu (20) and Moham Umar (18), were arrested following a violent clash involving an axe, which left a victim with serious injuries. The police also raided a hideout in Nguru, resulting in the arrest of five suspects involved in criminal activities.

Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other individuals linked to these cases.
