Enugu State to Recruit 6,580 Teachers and Staff

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has approved the recruitment of 6,580 qualified candidates for various academic, technical, and administrative roles in public primary and junior secondary schools, particularly targeting the state’s 267 Smart Green Schools. This decision was communicated through a job vacancy advertisement by Associate Professor Hyginus Okibe Banko, the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB).

The recruitment is part of the state government's broader education strategy to enhance educational quality. The positions available include 4,698 core subject teachers in subjects such as Mathematics, English Language, and ICT, along with roles for digital librarians, experiential learning innovators, guidance counsellors, and more.

Applicants for teaching positions must hold relevant degrees and be registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria. Non-teaching roles have varied requirements, including degrees in specialized fields or relevant certifications.
