Enugu State to Hire 6,500 Teachers for Smart Schools

The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has sanctioned the recruitment of over 6,500 qualified candidates for various academic, technical, and administrative roles in public primary and secondary schools, focusing on the 267 Smart Green Schools. The announcement was made by Prof. Hyginus Okibe Banko, the executive chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB).
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant discipline with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), or a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE). Additionally, registration or proof of ongoing registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is mandatory.
There are also positions available for OND and SSCE/WASSCE holders. Applicants for Degree/HND roles must have a valid NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate and demonstrate proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
