Oyebanji Wins Big at Polling Unit in Ekiti Guber Election

In the recent governorship election in Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won decisively at Opeyemi Bamidele's polling unit, garnering 164 votes. His closest rival, Dr. Wole Oluyede of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), received 156 votes, while Ayodeji Ojo of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) placed third with a significantly lower vote count.

Opeyemi Bamidele expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, commending the voter turnout across the state and praising the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its timely deployment of electoral officials and materials. According to INEC, there were 1,028,929 registered voters in Ekiti State, with 1,059,360 permanent voter cards (PVCs) collected ahead of the election.
