PDP Candidate Dr. Wole Oluyede Reviews Ekiti Poll Outcome

Dr. Wole Oluyede, the standard bearer of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ekiti State governorship election, has commenced a legal and political review of the election results from the June 20 poll. He is consulting with party leaders and his legal team to determine the next course of action, emphasizing the need for adherence to the rule of law and democratic principles.

Oluyede expressed gratitude for the support he received during his campaign but stated that the election did not meet the standards of a free, fair, and credible contest. He disclosed that reports from the party's poll agents across the 16 local government areas raised concerns about alleged voter inducement and intimidation, as well as irregularities in the bimodal voter accreditation system.

Oluyede affirmed his commitment to justice and democracy in Ekiti State and indicated that the PDP remains a formidable political force despite challenges faced during the election.
