Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Pledges Support for Tinubu in 2027

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji stated that the state will work to increase votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. This declaration was made during a town hall meeting with stakeholders from the Ekiti North Senatorial District in Ifaki-Ekiti.

Oyebanji urged voters to show appreciation for Tinubu's support, citing federal appointments and infrastructure projects as evidence. He emphasized the need to surpass previous voting figures in the upcoming election.

Additionally, Oyebanji outlined his administration's plans for a second term, focusing on enhancing commerce, productivity, and sustainable business growth. He mentioned that investments would target healthcare, electricity, roads, and water supply.

The governor also noted progress in expanding electricity access, although limited by existing laws, and highlighted collaborations with the Federal Government on major road projects. He commended traditional rulers for their role in security and encouraged residents to remain vigilant.

The Commissioner for Health reported the recruitment of over 300 nurses and 1,500 health assistants in the past four years.
