El-Rufai Accuses Uba Sani of Plotting His Abduction

Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai alleged that his successor, Uba Sani, and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, conspired to abduct him following an incident involving the Department of State Services (DSS) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. El-Rufai made these claims during a Friday appearance on a prime-time program on Arise Television.

He stated that the alleged plot was premeditated and described the actions of the DSS as an attempt to arrest him without a valid warrant, which he termed as abduction. El-Rufai emphasized that any arrest should be conducted legally, in accordance with the Police Act, which requires a warrant.

This allegation comes amid ongoing tensions surrounding El-Rufai, who has faced invitations from anti-corruption agencies but has not publicly responded to these claims.
