CRCMF Defends Defence Minister Musa on Kaduna Security Issues

The Communal Responsibility and Civic Minded Foundation (CRCMF) defended Minister of Defence Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.) regarding his remarks on the security situation in Kaduna during Nasir el-Rufai's tenure as governor. This defense occurred at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.

The organization expressed unwavering support for Musa, asserting that he spoke from an informed position due to his extensive experience in security matters. Musa's comments, made during a live interview on Channels Television on September 3, 2026, addressed issues such as insecurity, alleged payments to bandits, and the political exploitation of ethnic and religious divisions in Kaduna.

The CRCMF emphasized that public officials must be free to discuss Nigeria's security challenges without fear of intimidation. They condemned any legal threats against Musa, stating that communities in Southern Kaduna deserve truth, justice, and lasting security rather than political disputes.
