Abia APC Chairman Urges End to Judiciary Workers' Strike

Chijiok Chukwu, the Abia APC Chairman, has advised the state government to promptly resolve the ongoing judiciary workers' strike, which he claims is adversely affecting the administration of justice across Abia State. Speaking in Uzuakoli during the declaration of Emmanuel Ndubuisi's intent to contest for the Bend Federal Constituency seat, Chukwu urged Governor Alex Otti to honor his pre-2023 election commitments regarding judicial autonomy.

He expressed concern that the strike is hindering the judiciary's functionality and called for immediate action. Additionally, Chukwu commended Ndubuisi for his role in the political landscape, particularly noting the recent defection of Chinasa Iheanyi from the Labour Party to the APC.

He also warned local government chairmen to ensure the development of their areas, as they receive monthly allocations from Abuja, and mentioned the need to address economic and financial crimes.
