Premier League Refereeing Body Rebrands as Pro Ref

The English Premier League refereeing body has officially rebranded as Pro Ref, as announced on Tuesday. This rebranding is part of a strategic move to increase funding for the Premier League, the English Football League (EFL), and the FA Women's Super League.

A three-year agreement has been established to expand programs focused on developing refereeing talent. The Pro Ref organization will primarily oversee match officiating for Premier League games and will also manage video assistant referee (VAR) operations.

Additionally, the officiating responsibilities for EFL Championship matches will be combined under a single group, streamlining the management of match officiating across these leagues.
