Enzo Fernandez has communicated directly with Chelsea supporters after his transfer to Manchester City for a British record fee of £125 million, matching the previous record set by Newcastle United for Alexander Isak. In an official club statement, Chelsea confirmed the transfer, indicating that the departure was not amicable.

This plan fell apart when AS Monaco withdrew from negotiations to sign Senegalese midfielder Lamine Camara. Despite these complications, the transfer was completed, marking one of the most expensive deals in Premier League history.

Fernandez was previously signed by Chelsea for a British-record fee of £106.8 million from Benfica in 2023 before being sold to Manchester City in 2026.
