Etsu Nupe Calls for Prayers for Nigeria's Peace and Unity

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for lasting peace and unity in the nation. This call was made during the 18th Nupe Day celebration held at Wadata Palace in Bida.

Abubakar emphasized that prayer remains a potent instrument to overcome the country's socio-economic and security challenges, urging citizens to seek divine intervention to address the current realities facing Nigeria. He stressed that peace is foundational for sustainable development and that no nation can achieve progress in an atmosphere of insecurity and mistrust.

The royal father called on Nigerians, regardless of ethnic, religious, or political affiliations, to embrace peace, coexistence, and mutual understanding for national growth and stability. He acknowledged the government's efforts to address security concerns and encouraged citizens to support initiatives aimed at cooperation and intelligence sharing.

Abubakar reaffirmed the commitment of traditional institutions to promote peace and social cohesion in Niger State and the country.
