Cleric Stabbed in Sokoto After Friday Prayers

On Friday, an Islamic cleric named Malam Musa Lukwa was attacked shortly after leading the Juma’at prayer at a mosque located in the Mabera area of Sokoto. The assailant, reportedly a young man among the worshippers, stabbed Lukwa twice in the neck.

Following the attack, other worshippers at the mosque overpowered the attacker and killed him. This incident has led to heightened tension in parts of Sokoto metropolis as the community reacts to the violent act against the cleric.
