Retired Broadcaster and Guard Found Dead in Abeokuta

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the bodies of Kitan Oyesiku, a retired broadcaster from Ogun State Television (OGTV), and a security guard were discovered at a residence in Abeokuta, specifically in the Iyana Agodo Village area. The Ogun State Police Command, led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police Oluseyi Babaseyi, confirmed the incident, noting that preliminary assessments revealed signs of forced entry.

The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths, which were reported to have raised alarms among local residents. A thorough search of the premises led to the discovery of the security guard's body within the security post, while the victim's vehicle was also found missing.
