Eni Uduma Chima Wins PDP Primary for Afikpo/Edda Seat

Eni Uduma Chima has been declared the standard bearer of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The declaration was made following a peaceful direct primary held on May 17, 2026, where Chima received a total of 306 votes, emerging unopposed.

Barr. Stanlei Okoch Nkaa, the chairman of the electoral committee, announced the results, confirming Chima's victory.

In his acceptance speech, Chima expressed gratitude to the party for their faith and confidence in him, promising not to disappoint the electorate. He emphasized his commitment to addressing injustices in the region and highlighted his previous electoral successes, having won four out of six contests.

Chima, who resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on April 30, 2026, to pursue his candidacy with the PDP, aims to shift the political paradigm in the area and return power to the people.
