Nkama Wins APC Primary for Afikpo/Edda Constituency

Joseph Ekuma Nkama has been declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Afikpo/Edda constituency in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This decision followed a primary election held on Saturday across 23 wards in Edda and Afikpo local government areas.

The primary election was officiated by Kennedi Ekong, the chairman of the Ebonyi State National Assembly Committee, who announced Nkama as the winner after he secured the highest number of votes. Nkama's candidacy comes after the disqualification of Iduma Enwo Igariwei, a three-term member of the House of Representatives, who participated in the contest.

Nkama's emergence as the unopposed candidate has been recognized by the party, and he commended the electorate for their participation in the primaries. He also warned against any attempts by opposition elements to conduct parallel primaries, labeling such actions as unlawful and contrary to the directives of the APC's national leadership.
