Precious Dede Welcomes Quadruplets After Year of Wait

Precious Dede, a former goalkeeper for Nigeria's national women's football team, the Super Falcons, has welcomed quadruplets, consisting of two boys and two girls. After a year of waiting to become a mother, Dede took to Instagram on a Sunday to express her excitement and gratitude for the miraculous arrival of her four babies.

She described the experience as reaffirming her faith, noting that the delay in becoming a mother only intensified her joy upon their arrival. Dede had a distinguished career, earning 90 caps for Nigeria before retiring from international football in 2016.

Throughout her career, she represented Nigeria in four FIFA Women’s World Cups, three Olympic Games, and four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the continental title twice. At the club level, she played for Delta Queen, River Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and the Norwegian side Arna Bjørnar.

Following the announcement of her quadruplets, Dede received congratulatory messages from fans and former teammates within the football community.
