FAAN Sets 2026 Deadline for Airport Taxi Standards

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a deadline of October 2026 for taxi operators at Lagos and Abuja airports to upgrade their vehicles to meet new standards. This directive includes an increase in the taxi fare from N500 to N1,500.

FAAN's management explained that the organization is committed to delivering safe, secure, and efficient world-class airport services. The agency emphasized the necessity of providing clarity on issues raised to reassure the traveling public.
