FAAN Investigates AVSEC Incident at Osubi Airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has launched an investigation into a viral video depicting an altercation between an Aviation Security (AVSEC) officer and a passenger at Osubi Airport in Warri, Delta State. The incident reportedly involved an AVSEC officer who insisted that a female passenger could not carry tins of milk and other canned food items in her luggage.

In a statement issued on Sunday by Mr. Henry Agbebire, FAAN's Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, the Authority acknowledged the video and emphasized the seriousness of the matter.

The Managing Director/Chief Executive of FAAN has directed an immediate investigation to ascertain the facts and circumstances of the incident. FAAN reiterated its commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism, aviation safety, security, and customer service across all its airports.

The outcome of the investigation will determine any necessary administrative and disciplinary actions in line with FAAN's regulations.
