Fakhar Zaman Receives Two-Match Ban for Ball Tampering

Fakhar Zaman, a 35-year-old cricketer, has been handed a two-match ban by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after being found guilty of ball tampering during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Karachi Kings. The incident occurred prior to the final match, where Karachi Kings needed 14 runs to win, but the umpires deemed that Fakhar had broken the rules by unfairly changing the condition of the ball.

The disciplinary hearing, conducted by match referee Roshan Mahanama, reviewed the evidence and provided Fakhar with an opportunity to present his case. Following the hearing, the PCB announced on Tuesday that he would be suspended from the next two PSL fixtures.

Fakhar has the right to appeal the decision within the next 48 hours. According to cricket laws, specifically law 41.3.2, players are prohibited from altering the condition of the ball.
