Family Clashes with Lagos Ambulance Over Patient's Death

Adunola Abiola, a critically ill patient on life support, was being transferred by a Lagos-based medical ambulance service from Genesis Hospital to Emazur Multispecialist Hospital in Lagos. However, during the journey, the ambulance allegedly experienced a power failure, leading to the failure of the ventilator sustaining the patient's life.

Despite attempts to manually ventilate the patient, she suffered multiple cardiac arrests and passed away shortly after. The family, represented by Mr.

Femi Falana, has accused the ambulance service of gross negligence and is demanding a thorough investigation into the incident. Adunola's mother, Mr.

Folashade Abiola, expressed deep sorrow over her daughter's tragic death, highlighting the distressing circumstances surrounding the ambulance breakdown. The family is considering legal action against the ambulance service.
