FCC Chair Omidiran Supports 2028 NUGA at ABU Visit

On Thursday, Honorable Ayo Hulayat Omidiran, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), reaffirmed her dedication to national unity, education, youth empowerment, and sports development in Nigeria. This commitment was articulated during a courtesy visit from the management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Adamu Ahmed, at the FCC headquarters in Abuja.

Omidiran, an alumna of ABU, expressed gratitude for the visit and emphasized the university's significant impact on her leadership journey. She welcomed ABU's request for collaboration, particularly in light of its designation as the host for the 2028 Nigeria University Games (NUGA) and as a National Centre of Excellence in Sports.

Omidiran also accepted an invitation to participate in ABU's 64th Anniversary celebrations scheduled for October 4, 2026. Professor Ahmed praised Omidiran's achievements in public service and sports administration, recognizing her as a distinguished alumna who inspires future generations.
