Wike, NLC, TUC Resolve Dispute with FCT Workers After Talks

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) workers' dispute in Abuja was resolved after a meeting involving key stakeholders. Governor Wike, along with representatives from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), reached a consensus following a marathon discussion chaired by Senator Moham Bomoi.

The talks, which lasted for several hours, saw tensions ease as parties agreed to end the conflict that had disrupted activities in the FCT. The NLC and TUC had initially planned mass protests but later postponed them after obtaining a court order.

During the meeting, it was confirmed that no workers would face victimization due to the industrial action. The NLC's General Secretary, Benson Upah, and TUC's leader, Nuhu Toro, disclosed that pending cases in the National Industrial Court were withdrawn, allowing FCT workers to resume their duties immediately.
