Nigeria Considers Repatriating Simon Ekpa After Finnish Jail Term

The Federal Government of Nigeria is considering the repatriation of agitator Simon Ekpa after he completes a six-year jail term in Finland for a crime offense. President Bola Ahmed hinted at the possibility following a court ruling in Finland.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, mentioned assessing Ekpa's situation before making a decision. The Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, praised the Finnish court's judgment, emphasizing the global effort against terrorism.

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri and Chief Defence Staff General Christopher Musa also commented on the case, highlighting the significance of international collaboration in combating violent extremism.
