Nigeria's FG Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment

On a recent occasion at the Meta Youth Online Safety Summit held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, Stella Oduem, the Minister of Youth Development, reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to empowering Nigerian youth through digital innovation and entrepreneurship. The government aims to create opportunities that equip young people with the necessary skills and resources to contribute productively to national development.

Comrade Ayodel Olawand emphasized the importance of digital platforms in enabling youth to access knowledge and build business activities. The summit also addressed online safety, with a focus on the role of parents as primary educators in shaping responsible digital behavior among children.

The Federal Government's initiatives include collaborations with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to promote entrepreneurship and self-reliance among corps members. The summit served as a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas and explore innovative approaches to enhance online safety for youth in Nigeria.
