FG Distributes N10bn Medical Equipment to Bauchi State

The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched a distribution of medical equipment and essential drugs valued at N10 billion to strengthen healthcare delivery in Bauchi State. The event took place at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, officiated by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof.

Muhammad Ali Pate, alongside representatives from the Bauchi State Government. This intervention is part of the federal government's ongoing efforts to improve primary healthcare services nationwide, as outlined by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

The initiative includes investments in healthcare infrastructure and workforce development, benefiting approximately 45 million Nigerians quarterly. Bauchi State has received significant federal health interventions, including upgrades to healthcare facilities and the establishment of new medical institutions.

The distribution includes equipment for 20 primary healthcare centers and essential drugs for 15 local government areas, aimed at enhancing maternal healthcare and reducing expenses for pregnant women. Prof.
