FG Distributes Livestock to Empower Women and Youth in Jigawa

On July 30, 2026, the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development distributed 100 bullocks, heifers, and livestock production ancillaries to 100 beneficiaries, comprising 52 women and 48 youths, in Jigawa State. This initiative is part of the Federal Government's commitment to transforming the livestock sector, improving food security, creating jobs, and enhancing livelihoods.

The event took place at Kilometer 5, Shuwarin Cattle Market, Dutse, and was implemented in collaboration with Meteorite Logistics Ltd. Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha, the Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, represented by the Director of Livestock Extension and Business Development, emphasized that the initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Minister urged beneficiaries to adopt improved animal husbandry practices to maximize the benefits of the programme. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, highlighting the initiative's potential to improve household incomes and contribute to food production.
