FG Launches Grant Program for Vulnerable Households

The Federal Government of Nigeria launched a grant program for vulnerable groups as part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. The initiative, managed by the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA), aims to assist vulnerable households in transitioning to economic stability.

During the launch in Abuja, Dr. Bernard Doro, representing the Permanent Secretary, and Mr.

Olubunmi Olusanya emphasized the government's commitment to supporting vulnerable populations. The program, which will be implemented across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria, is designed to provide direct assistance to households facing economic pressures and poverty.

Prof. Badamasi Lawal reaffirmed the government's dedication to ensuring that the benefits of the grant reach ordinary citizens.

Hajia Aishat Alubankudi, managing the program, noted that the initiative arrives at a critical time when many households are experiencing economic strain, thereby limiting productivity and hindering national development.
