FG Launches NYSC E-Training Portal for Staff Development

The Federal Government inaugurated an e-training portal for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) staff on Monday during the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Pre-Orientation Workshop in Abuja. Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, praised the NYSC leadership for its innovative efforts to enhance efficiency and productivity.

He stated that the portal aims to promote continuous learning among staff, contributing to a more knowledgeable and responsive workforce. Olawande stressed the necessity for Corps Members to acquire practical skills in leadership, entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and problem-solving, alongside values like discipline and integrity.

He identified the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme as crucial for improving employability. NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, noted the importance of adapting the Orientation Course to societal changes, emphasizing the workshop's theme, “Reimagining the NYSC Orientation Course: Building Resilient, Responsible and Service-Oriented Corps Members for a Changing World.” Nafiu called for collaboration among stakeholders to ensure the security and welfare of Corps Members.
