FG Launches Youth Opportunities Content Challenge

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development launched the FMYD Youth Opportunities Content Challenge aimed at empowering young Nigerians to utilize their creativity and social media to help others discover government-backed opportunities. Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, announced the initiative on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, during the commemoration of International Youth Day, themed “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.” Olawande stated that the challenge would encourage youth to identify and creatively share information about available opportunities.

He emphasized that the initiative is not about praising the Ministry but about informing fellow young Nigerians. Further details regarding guidelines, categories, timelines, and prizes will be announced soon.

The minister highlighted that 239,726 young Nigerians have gained skills through the Nigerian Youth Academy and mentioned various government initiatives aimed at supporting youth, including NiYA StartUp and YouthCred. He congratulated Nigerian youths on International Youth Day and urged them to actively engage in connecting peers with opportunities.
