Nigeria Reaffirms Commitment to Security and Diaspora

The Federal Government of Nigeria has reiterated its commitment to prioritizing security and engaging the Nigerian diaspora as essential assets for national development. This statement was made by Ambassador Sola Enikanolaye, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, during the Dinner Night of the Nigerian Diaspora Economic Conference held in Toronto, Canada.

Enikanolaye acknowledged that security remains a significant challenge but assured that the current administration is taking comprehensive measures to address these issues. He highlighted the government's view of Nigerians abroad under President Bola Tinubu's leadership as critical contributors rather than burdens.

The minister called for unity among Nigerians, urging them to overcome barriers of ethnicity, religion, and tribe to foster cooperation that promotes national growth. He also recognized the role of international partners, including the United States, in enhancing Nigeria's security and welfare.

Enikanolaye concluded by thanking the conference organizers and the diaspora community for their contributions to Nigeria's development.
