FG Strengthens Humanitarian Ties with Kaduna and Niger

On Wednesday, Dr. Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, reaffirmed the Federal Government's commitment to strengthening collaboration with Kaduna and Niger States for sustainable humanitarian interventions. This assurance came during separate courtesy visits from Comrade Yunana Markus Barde, Kaduna State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Inga, Niger State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, along with other officials.

Doro discussed ongoing reforms, including the National Poverty Lab aimed at evidence-based policymaking and the One Humanitarian, One Poverty Response System (OHOPRS) for coordinated interventions. He commended Barde for his support of the Ministry's initiatives and expressed plans to visit Kaduna State to enhance partnerships.

Barde congratulated Doro on his daughter's wedding and requested federal support for local humanitarian councils and vulnerable groups. Inga praised Doro's leadership and called for continued federal assistance to address Niger State's humanitarian challenges.
