FG Launches Portal for Renewed Hope Employment Initiative

The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched the online registration portal for Phase III of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI), aiming to train 26,961 unemployed Nigerians in 70 vocational and entrepreneurial skills across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The initiative, part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, seeks to equip Nigerians with practical skills for self-reliance.

Dr Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi, the Minister of Labour and Employment, stated that beneficiaries would be selected from all 8,809 political wards to ensure equitable opportunity distribution. He acknowledged previous delays in stipend payments and resettlement packages due to funding constraints but assured that efforts were underway to resolve these issues.

Silas Agara, the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), noted that the upgraded registration portal would enhance transparency and prevent multiple registrations, while also accommodating persons living with disabilities.
