FG Targets Full NIN Integration into Social Register by March 2026

The Federal Government aims to fully integrate the National Identification Number (NIN) into Nigeria's social register by March 2026. The National Programme Manager of the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office, Funmi Olotu, revealed this at a Stakeholder Engagement Conference in Lagos.

The integration process, which began in April 2025, has made significant progress with over 31 million household records updated and millions of NINs successfully validated by August 2025. The goal is to verify and integrate NINs for every household to enhance social protection systems and eliminate duplication.

This milestone signifies a major advancement in strengthening Nigeria's social protection system through technology.
