FG Engages Diaspora Nigerians for National Development

During the 17th Annual Mbaise USA Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, Nigeria's Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Bernard Doro, called on Nigerians living abroad to collaborate with the federal government in enhancing the nation's socio-economic development.

He highlighted the diaspora's significant role in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and grassroots economic empowerment, stating that the administration of President Bola Tinubu views the diaspora as crucial for sustainable growth. Dr.

Doro noted that the diaspora's focus on healthcare, technology, skills acquisition, and poverty alleviation aligns with the Federal Government's priorities. Ezeji Alozie Aguwa, National President of Mbaise USA, discussed the organization's shift from traditional medical missions to long-term infrastructure projects, including the Medville Medical City in Mbaise, Imo State.

The convention also featured support from Dr. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who pledged to collaborate on healthcare initiatives, and Dr.

Emma Njoku, who encouraged investments in healthcare projects.
