FHQs Triumph in Police Games with 238 Medals

The FHQs won the Police Games, achieving a total of 238 medals, which placed them two medals ahead of the Lagos State Command, which finished with 236 medals. The Yenagoa Command secured third place with 140 medals.

The week-long sporting event concluded with a closing ceremony where Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by Deputy Mondai Onyem, described the games as a testament to the discipline and dedication of personnel in the Nigeria Police Force. He noted that the competition demonstrated the capabilities of officers beyond security roles, highlighting their athleticism.

Governor Oborevwori praised Delta State for successfully hosting the event. Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun commended the organization of the event and noted that Asaba has become a venue for excellence in discipline and determination.

AIG Fom Pam Joseph, the chairman of the sport planning committee, also acknowledged the cooperation of the state government in delivering a memorable event.
