ADC Urges Tinubu to Combat Terrorism, Not Opposition

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly criticized President Bola Tinubu for his recent declaration of readiness to “fight to the finish” politically, urging him instead to focus on addressing terrorism and insecurity in Nigeria. In a statement issued on Tuesday by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC emphasized that the President should prioritize defeating terrorists, bandits, and kidnappers rather than engaging in political confrontations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This criticism follows a deadly attack on Naridon village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, where at least 30 people were killed. The ADC argued that the President's constitutional duty is to protect Nigerians, insisting that his focus should be on combating violent crime.

They accused the Tinubu administration of merely condemning insecurity without taking decisive action and stated that elections should be won through good governance rather than political rhetoric.
