Finchglow Holdings to Launch Flying School in Ogun State

Finchglow Holdings has announced plans to establish a new pilot training facility at the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport in Ogun State. This initiative aims to address the growing demand for skilled aviation personnel and enhance human capital development in West Africa.

Bankole Bernard, the Group Managing Director of Finchglow Holdings, disclosed these plans during a media briefing on Tuesday in Lagos. The proposed flight school will focus on core flight training, including piloting and aeronautical engineering programs, and will operate as an extension of Finchglow’s existing training capabilities.

Bernard noted that the regulatory process with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) will proceed smoothly as this initiative is an expansion of Finchglow’s existing aviation training licensing. The choice of the Ogun State facility is strategic, offering ample airspace and modern infrastructure.

The establishment of the flying school aims to bridge the domestic pilot shortage and reduce the financial burden on Nigerian students seeking flight training abroad.
