Fire Hits UBA Branch on Lagos Island, Panic Ensues as Staff and Customers Evacuate

A fire broke out at a United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch on Broad Street, Lagos Island, causing panic in the commercial district. Contrary to rumors, the incident did not affect the bank's corporate head office at Marina.

Videos showed staff and customers escaping the building as emergency responders worked to contain the blaze. UBA promptly reassured the public of the safety of its staff and customers.
