Fire Destroys Herbal Shops at Ibadan's Bode Market

An early morning fire at Bode Market in the Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State caused extensive damage to herbal shops, resulting in losses worth millions of naira. The cause of the inferno remains unascertained, and there has been no official statement from the Oyo State Fire Service regarding the incident.

An eyewitness, identified as Serifat, reported the blaze, which left traders counting their losses. Firefighters were promptly deployed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control, preventing further spread.

Bode Market is recognized as one of the largest markets in the Ibadan metropolitan area and serves as a major trade hub for herbal, animal skin, and traditional products across the southwestern region of Nigeria.
