Fire Outbreak Destroys Parts of Kano Cemetery, No Casualties Reported

A fire incident at the Abbatuwa Cemetery in Fagg Local Government Area of Kano State resulted in the destruction of several parts of the burial ground. The fire, which started in the dry grass within the cemetery, spread rapidly before being brought under control by the Kano State Fire Service.

No casualties were recorded, and preliminary investigations suggest human activities may have caused the fire. The public is cautioned, particularly smokers, against carrying naked flames in the cemetery to prevent future occurrences.
