Governor Sule Orders Dismissal Over Hospital Equipment Sale

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has taken decisive action regarding the alleged sale of medical equipment donated to the General Hospital in Umaisha. Sule's directive follows accusations from Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing the Umaisha/Ugya Constituency.

Sa’ad claimed that the hospital management sold orthopaedic mattresses, ceiling fans, and standing fans that he had donated for patient use. Expressing his displeasure at an event in Lafia on Thursday, Governor Sule described the management's actions as inhuman and ordered an investigation by the Commissioner for Health.

He instructed the Commissioner to not only investigate but also to dismiss and prosecute any staff found responsible for the misconduct. Sule's firm stance underscores the seriousness of the allegations and his commitment to ensuring accountability within the healthcare system in the state.
