Nasarawa Governor Orders Prosecution Over Donated Items Sale

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has mandated the dismissal and prosecution of staff members at the General Hospital in Umaisha who are implicated in the sale of donated medical equipment. This directive came after a viral video featured Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing the Umaisha/Ugya Constituency, accusing the hospital management of selling orthopaedic mattresses and ceiling and standing fans he had donated for patient use.

Sule condemned the actions of the hospital management as inhuman and instructed the Commissioner for Health to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. He emphasized the need for decisive action against those found responsible, stating, “I have already asked the Commissioner for Health to investigate, to dismiss and fire them, and after that, to prosecute them.”.
