Boko Haram Kills 170 in Kwara Community After Sending Warning Letter

In a tragic incident, suspected Boko Haram terrorists killed at least 170 people in a remote community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. The attack, which lasted several hours, involved gunmen storming the village, setting houses ablaze, and abducting an undisclosed number of women and children.

The death toll rose significantly as search and rescue operations continued, with residents fleeing to nearby forests for safety. The community, located near the Kainji National Park, has become a hideout for armed groups like Ansaru.

The terrorists had previously informed the district head of their intent to visit the community, but security measures were not adequate to prevent the massacre. The Nigerian security forces have not issued an official statement on the incident, although military operations have been deployed in the area.
