Passengers Panic on Royal Air Maroc Flight 554 Diversion

On Easter Monday, passengers aboard Royal Air Maroc Flight 554 from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to Casablanca faced a terrifying ordeal when the aircraft attempted an unscheduled stop in Marrakech. The flight, scheduled to depart at 7:05 AM and arrive in Casablanca at 11:30 AM, proceeded normally until the cabin crew announced the unexpected stop to pick up additional passengers.

This announcement caused surprise and panic among travelers who expected a direct flight. As the aircraft began to shake violently while adjusting its course, passengers expressed fear, praying for safety.

Despite the aircraft being nearly half-empty, the cabin crew later apologized for the inconvenience but provided no further explanation. The flight eventually reverted to its original route and landed safely in Casablanca.

An attempt to speak with the pilot was unsuccessful, and no clarifications were provided regarding the diversion. Aviation experts noted that such diversions must meet safety regulations and are not random business decisions.
