Floods Cause Bridge Collapses in Taraba and Kebbi - Urgent Reconstruction Needed for Safety and Connectivity

Floods have wreaked havoc in Taraba, Kebbi, and other states, causing bridges and roads to collapse. The Kufai bridge in Plateau State near Yelwa community, built three decades ago, collapsed due to the heavy volume of water passing through it during the rainy season.

This has severely impacted commuters and traders who rely on the bridge for transportation and economic activities. The collapse has led to significant challenges for road users, especially during the rainy season when water levels rise, posing risks to safety and livelihoods.
