The Niger Republic has introduced stringent security measures mandating the inspection of all goods, especially those originating from Nigeria, to prevent potential harm from illegal consignments entering the local market. The directive, signed by Colonel Moham Yacouba Siddo Siddo, aims to tighten border control and ensure that shipments are accompanied by proper documentation before further transit.

While shipments with clear final destinations may proceed without unloading, the new policy emphasizes thorough inspection at designated entry points to curb illicit activities.
