Forensic Institute Urges FG to Eliminate Oil Sector Cabals

The Forensic Institute calls on the Nigerian government to eliminate cabals in the oil sector to combat economic sabotage. The Chairman of the CIFCFIN Governing Council, Iliyasu Gashinbaki, urged the government to use legal instruments, including the Petroleum Industry Act, to address obstructive actions and economic sabotage.

The institute revealed the presence of powerful cabals hindering progress and perpetuating scarcity in the sector. Gashinbaki emphasized the need for private sector investment to enhance competition and efficiency, similar to the telecommunications industry.

The institute's forensic analysis uncovered significant oil reserves in Nigeria, highlighting the importance of protecting national assets like the Dangote Refinery.
