Edison Ehi Denies 2027 Governorship Ambition Rumors

Edison Ehi, the former Chief of Staff to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, issued a statement on Saturday disavowing claims regarding his alleged ambition to run for governor in 2027 under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Ehi described the rumors as false and politically motivated, asserting that they were designed to mislead the public and destabilize the political climate in Rivers State.

He emphasized that the claims suggesting he would run as deputy governor alongside Dakuku Peterside were misleading and part of a broader political propaganda effort. Ehi reaffirmed his allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and reiterated his support for Governor Fubara's administration, which he believes is focused on peace and development.

He warned against the misinformation and urged the public to disregard the unauthorized posters that circulated with his name. Ehi firmly stated that Rivers State does not require rescuing from imaginary enemies and that the current administration has already delivered effective leadership.
