Isa Ashiru Resigns from PDP Amid Leadership Crises

Isa Ashiru, who previously ran as a gubernatorial candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, has officially announced his resignation from the party. He submitted his resignation letter to the PDP chairman of Kudan Ward in Kudan Local Government Area on March 27, 2026.

In his letter, Ashiru cited persistent internal leadership crises, conflicts, and divisions within the party as reasons for his departure. He expressed that it had become increasingly difficult to continue participating as an active member of the PDP under these circumstances.

Ashiru emphasized that his decision was made in good faith and with a deep sense of humility, reflecting the challenges he faced within the party's current environment.
